Through Studio Sessions, Art Workshops, Summer Camps, productions, lessons, and more, The Studio embodies a straightforward mission statement—“excellence, while having fun.”

In all we do, in all we experience, in all we say, that mantra lives in our DNA. We want to be as excellent as we can be, and we want to have a blast along the way. And to those that become a part of The Studio—you will grow in a creative environment like no other…and you won’t even realize you’re learning.

 

Adam

Adam Walsh is a musician, composer, and teacher with a unique ability to connect with kids of all ages. With a strong desire to instill a love of music in his students, Adam sets out to create a learning environment parents will appreciate and kids will love. As a former children’s pastor, Adam has trained young musicians in the worship arts, taught songwriting, and recorded three albums of Bible memory verses. He’s written and edited curriculum for Group Publishing in Loveland, Colorado, He has performed in or musically directed over 25 shows, and is now, with his wife Courtney, the co-owner of The Studio, a performing and visual arts studio in Rockford, IL.Adam and Courtney frequently collaborate in the creation of original musical productions, in which Courtney writes the scrípt and Adam composes the music & lyrics. Most recently, they’ve written The Great American Tall TalesHercules, and Grimm’s Fairytales, two of which they’ve directed as well. Adam has a B.S. in Music from Bradley University, is a father of three insanely entertaining kids, and loves games and puzzles of all kinds. At The Studio, Adam is not only a co-owner, but a teacher (voice, piano, brass) as well. 

Courtney

Courtney Walsh is a published author, mixed media artist, theatre director and playwright. Her debut novel, A Sweethaven Summer, hit the New York Times and USA Today Bestseller lists. It was followed by the release of A Sweethaven Homecoming and A Sweethaven Christmas. She has also written two papercrafting books, Scrapbooking Your Faith and The Busy Scrapper.

Together with her husband, Adam, Courtney has written several full-scale musicals, including The Great American Tall TalesHercules and Grimm’s Fairytales. The team frequently pairs up to direct these and other musical productions and is passionate about using theatre to equip, encourage and inspire young people. Adam and Courtney are the owners of The Studio, which offers performing & visual art workshops, private lessons, summer camps and full scale musical productions. Courtney has a B.S. in Theatre & and a B.S. in Journalism from Bradley University, and she now lives in Rockford, IL with her husband and three kids.

    You don’t need to pay cash for tickets anymore and you don’t need to leave home to buy tickets. We accept major credit cards. So just login to The Studio, LLC, find your seats, and purchase tickets on our secure website.
  3. Your plan has changed? Exchange your tickets.

    The key to getting best locations in every event, is to reserve early. But we understand that long term planning may not always work. If you purchase a ticket and find out that you cannot attend, we will be happy to exchange your tickets for the same show at the same ticket price different day. (See our return policy). All sales are final. 
  4. Don’t worry about shipping & and shipping cost:

    You can print your tickets and go directly to the door or we can deliver your tickets at the Venue. You can pickup your tickets at the theatre's box office from 1 hour prior to the beginning of the event. So you don’t have to worry if the post office will be late or the tickets may get lost.
  5. Last minute tickets.

    Tickets will be available at the door for an additional charge.
